Doesn’t it annoy you when kids who tag walls try to justify it by saying it is art?
Whether you consider it art or not people shouldn’t vandalize and ruin state or private property.
I agree. While I do consider it a form of art (maybe not MY taste in art, but art nonetheless), I would never use that to justify vandalizing someone else’s property. That’s just disrespectful. Whether you yourself consider it to be an improvement (as the first person said to justify graffiti) is completely irrelevant. It’s not YOURS. You aren’t paying for it.
Most people making the argument that “it’s just art! I’m just expressing myself!” I assume are under the age of 15, and have never had to pay for anything or responsibly maintain anything significant in their lives.
You want to express yourself? Fine. Do it on your own property.
