Coleman Tent Trailers
I have a tent trailer with a hydraulic lift. I have followed the directions, but it will not close.?
This is a 1998 Coleman Tent Trailer by Fleetwood. The trailer battery is low, so I hooked up my jumper box and was able to raise the trailer. After airing out, I went to put the trailer down but it would not close. I looked underneath and there is a hydraulic unit that is fully extended. According to the directions, turning the valve counter-clockwise is supposed to allow gravity to lower the top of the tent trailer. I have the valve fully opened and have checked to be sure the hydraulic unit isn’t locked in place but the trailer still won’t close. Any ideas?
It probably has not been open & closed for some time now………..try to push down on whatever bars or similar that you can to close it, then open & close it several more times……………also – is there somewhere to check the level of the hydraulic fluid ?? It may be too low
