What are some good themes for a guest bedroom?
please include the color scheme and some additional ideas to the theme…thank you. the bedroom is approximately 10 X 11 if that helps. we already have a tv, tv stand, bed, and dresser in this room the wood color for these items seems to be a light oak. once again, thank you for your suggestions. have a happy new year =)

It’s a smallish room so you want to keep the colors light. I have a fondness for a Behr paint color called Swiss Coffee. It’s included in their “White” collection but on the wall it’s a pale tan. With bright white woodwork, it’s really crisp and stunning (imo).
Maybe let your location help to guide you:
Urban area: decorate around a destination where you live (ex: if you’re in San Francisco, go with a Ghiradelli Chocolate theme)
Country area: pull in some of the colors from outdoors to bring the outside into the room
I think people like it when a guest room has a few little extras and just a small touch of luxury (candy dish, special lotions, etc). They want to feel comfortable, like the room is “theirs” while they’re using it, but with something special that they don’t experience when they’re at home.
You’re such a nice host/hostess to go to this effort for your guests! They are very lucky
