Attachment Parenting is a broad term. For simplicity, I will start with the bare facts about Attachment Parenting begun.
The concept original attachment parenting was officially introduced in 1958 by John Bowlby in two documents published by "Nature the child's relationship to his mother in which the concepts of" embargo " were introduced. This was the theory of attachment and Attachment Parenting is not invented yet.

John Bowlby devoted to research attachment broad concept, describing it as a "lasting psychological connection between human beings. "Bowlby considered the first childhood experiences have an important influence on the development and behavior in the future. early attachment styles are applied infancy through early workers in child health care.
Bowlby said that there are four distinguishing features of Attachment:
1. The proximity of conservation – The desire to be around people who are committed.
2. Safe Haven – Returning to the attachment figure for comfort and safety in face of fear or threat.
3. Set the base – the attachment figure acts as a secure base from which the child can explore the surroundings.
4. Separation distress – The anxiety that occurs in the absence of the attachment figure.
Alongside Bowlby, Mary Ainsworth, who made his own work and attachment theory has contributed greatly to the work Bowlby.
Around the same time the research was Harry Harlow and the scientific study of infant rhesus monkeys. Here's an excerpt that explains their job much better than I can:
The science of love
How do I go about constructing his science of love Harlow? He monkeys separate small his mother a few hours after birth, then arranged for young animals to be "raised" by two types of machines that substitute for the mother monkey, both equipped to dispense milk. One mother was made of wire. The other was a wire mother covered soft towel. Harlow's first observation was that the monkeys who had the choice of the mother spent more time awaiting their replacements curl, even when his physical nourishment, was mounted on the bottles of bare wire mothers. This suggests that the child was love there is no simple answer to the satisfaction of physiological needs. The attachment was not mainly by hunger or thirst. It could not be reduced to the infirmary.
Harlow then modified by their experience and made a second important observation. When he separated children into two groups and gave them another choice between the two types of mothers, all the monkeys drank the same amount and grew physically at the same pace. But the similarities end there. The monkeys had mild tactile contact with her mother Terry behave very differently from monkeys, whose mothers were cold, hard wire. These activities closely resembled the behavior of children with autism and frequently observed in private institutions and the pathological behavior of adults confined in psychiatric institutions, Harlow said. Impressive power fixation and loss of health and mental illness could not be more spectacular.
Although Harry did not invent the terms he has contributed largely with the theorem of the attachment.
