Why should you prune your trees
If you have just entered the tree growing world, you've probably heard the term "size" beaten by veteran producers. Well, I have something to confess. For several years, I did not even know what pruning was. I've heard the term a lot, but I never felt comfortable asking someone what exactly it was. Same if he had benefited from my garden and the tree, I was too proud to ask. I have found that pride is the reason for the failure of many efforts, if I had to ask someone what pruning would not have suffered any disaster that occurred during my early years of gardening.
Pruning is the removal of dead or unneeded branches to encourage the growth of flowers. Usually a tree end up devoting increased energy to the branches that do not need it, leaving aside the branches that bear more fruit. If you remove the branches that have all the nutrients, you begin to see a band in the other. Size also keeps the shape of the tree remains the same branches. This prevents it from becoming weight on one side. Having too many branches on one side could make the tree bent down permanently.
Many gardeners do not even think about pruning their trees until they begin to bear fruit. It is a big mistake and never neglecting the care of a tree just because it has not yet begun production. Throughout the growth process, you should prune the trees in a way that is even and uniform. Then, when you start to produce fruit, the results will be significantly higher. It is very easy to tell the difference between a tree that has been pruned regularly during growth, and has been neglected. In general, the shape of the tree is much more natural if it was cut. The first thing to consider when starting size is one of the branches that are dead or sick. They are fairly easy to recognize. Usually, they are useless, and may be deformed or discolored. Feel free to all children cut off because there are more than detrimental to the health of your tree. Sometimes a branch can be dead or sick without being too obvious. If this is the case, simply wait that the tree is in bloom and will be obvious, nothing grows.
The second type of branch to look for is the branch that is too close in range to all others. If it grows in length and angle so that the end is near all the other branches, they could end up crowding each other. Remove the lower of the two branches that allow more flexibility you need. The same rule applies to balance the weight of your tree. Sometimes, for reasons I will never understand, a tree will grow several branches on one side and weighing be unbalanced.
So I hope you have given a basic knowledge of their size. There are more situations and types of industries that require the size, but what I have described is the very basic. These may change depending on the age of your tree. For example, during the first three years of growth of a tree that requires a size that is more "formative" guidelines. After the tree is well established, you should use "regulation" size to hold it where you want it to be. There are whole books written on how to prune trees according to their age. There are too technical for me to go, so if To use these advanced techniques then you should go to your local library and borrow a book.
